Lake & Nature
Miles of quiet woods. A private lake. No crowds.
Lake Madron and the surrounding Michigan woods — swimming, paddling, wandering, and the particular quiet that only comes from being away from everything.
Lake Madron is a glacial lake set in the middle of the Camp Madron woods. It's clean, quiet, and private — no jet skis, no crowds, no pressure to be anywhere or do anything in particular.
The property has direct lake access: a beach, a dock, and whatever you want to do with it. Swim. Sit. Watch the light move across the water in the late afternoon. Let the kids wear themselves out.
The water
The lake is calm and clear. In summer it warms enough to swim comfortably. The dock is good for jumping off, or just lying on with a book.
(Canoe and kayak availability — details to come.)
The woods
Camp Madron is surrounded by second-growth Michigan hardwood forest — oak, maple, beech, and birch. There are trails to walk on and no schedule to keep. This is the kind of place where you find yourself going for a walk before breakfast without quite deciding to.
A different pace
No recommendations to follow. No reservations to make. The woods are yours to wander; the lake is yours to sit beside. The most popular activity at 24 Camp Madron is sitting outside doing very little, and that's exactly the point.
Come for the water. Stay for what happens when you stop rushing.
